  1. Enable Conversion Tracking

Conversion tracking shows you what happens after a customer clicks your ad, such as purchasing a product, downloading a form, signing up to your newsletter etc. This opportunity will be suggested if you have no conversions set-up or if any active conversion goal has had zero results for the last 30 days.

Although Adzooma can’t set up tracking for you, this opportunity acts as a great reminder to check which ad campaigns, ad groups, ads and keywords are driving conversions, to really help to improve performance.

  1. Add Structured Snippets

Structured Snippets are free ad extensions that allow you to add extra information about your products or services. This helps you to grab more real estate and push your competitors further down the page.

If a specific campaign isn’t making use of structured snippets this opportunity will suggest that it does and you will be able to create a new structured snippet which will then be applied to the campaign.

  1. Too Many Keywords

There’s no magic number for how many keywords you should have in your ad groups. However, for better control over your keywords, higher click-through rates and an improved quality score, we recommend that ad groups never have more than 50 keywords. This opportunity shows you which ad groups have too many keywords so you can easily find them and review.

  1. Add Negative Keywords

A negative keyword is a specific word or phrase that helps to prevent your ad from being displayed to customers who are unlikely to click on it. By focusing on keywords that matter to your customers you’ll see more targeted clicks and increased ROI. This opportunity will show for campaigns that have no negative keywords set and will offer a list to help get you started.

Make the most of the New Year for setting new goals or targets and we’ll see you next month with more useful updates.

If you have questions about any of the new opportunities, contact us at help@adzooma.com and we’ll get you the answers you need.

Image two shows where you would see the reviews on Google for your business.

Listings will continuously and automatically push your business information to all platforms, every month, to ensure that your business information is seen as verified and current, which helps with organic search rankings.

By managing all of your online listings in one place, you’ll not only save valuable time, but you’ll also ensure that your business information is constantly kept up to date. Reach New Audiences In Less Time With AdSync https://adzooma.com/blog/reach-new-audiences-in-less-time-with-adsync/ https://adzooma.com/blog/reach-new-audiences-in-less-time-with-adsync/#respond Tue, 06 Jul 2021 13:00:36 +0000 https://www.adzooma.com/blog/?p=25358 Time is the enemy of great PPC campaigns.

If you’re managing both Google and Microsoft campaigns, you’ll know the headache of optimizing one and then painstakingly having to replicate your work over to the other account.

And if you’re just using Google, you’re missing out on new audiences, improved results, and a better reach because you just don’t have the time to set up and manage both accounts. Until now.

Thanks to AdSync by Adzooma, you can reach new audiences while saving time.

This brand new feature imports your Google Ads campaigns into Microsoft Ads – and keeps them updated. Any improvements to your campaigns, including adding new keywords, adjusting for better ad copy, etc, will be automatically copied over to the same campaigns on Microsoft. That’s two advertising accounts managed at once.

And if you’re new to Microsoft, we’ll also give you $125 free ad spend to get started.

Same campaigns, different advertising accounts

Our new AdSync feature allows you to import your campaigns into Microsoft advertising in a few easy steps. With it, you can:

  • Import every campaign in your account, or just select your best ones.
  • Adjust bids and budgets, allowing you to reduce or increase your budget for Microsoft.
  • Edit the status of your campaigns, so you can pause them until you’ve done the final checks.
Image shows how Ad Sync by Adzooma allows customers to easily scale their Google campaigns on Microsoft

Optimizations automatically synced to Microsoft

Two birds, one stone. With AdSync, every change you make to your Google campaigns is copied over to Microsoft.

Whatever optimizations, new keywords, ad copy or alterations you make, we’ll copy them. And don’t worry – if you’ve altered your bid or budget for Microsoft we’ll keep this up to date as well.

If you’re spending £500 on a Google campaign and set up a decrease in budget of 10%, your Microsoft campaign will be £450. If you update your Google budget to £1000, we’ll change your Microsoft one to £900, making sure you always spend 10% less.

Every change is covered in AdSync, so you can manage two campaigns at once.

Why sync your campaigns to Microsoft?

Microsoft Advertising may not have the biggest share of the global search market. But like most underdogs, it shouldn’t be overlooked.

Ignoring Microsoft is like owning a gas station and not offering diesel because you already sell petrol.

Put plainly, Microsoft reaches 63 million users that Google doesn’t, giving you access to a whole new audience that would have just been forgotten about. What’s more, because there’s less competition, you’ll also get cheaper clicks, giving you a better return on your investment.

And in case you think that’s too good to be true, we ran these tests on our own campaigns. Overall, we found that

  • Cost Per Click on Google was an average of £5.15 compared to Microsoft’s £1.17.
  • Comparing 44 randomly selected keywords, the average CPC for Google is £11.76 while Microsoft is £2.06.

With AdSync by Adzooma, you get access to these amazing results and cost savings without having to manually manage your Microsoft campaigns.

New to Microsoft? Get $125 free ad spend.

We’re proud to offer all new customers $125 in extra advertising when you spend $25.

That’s $150 of advertising, for $25.

To claim your free spend, you just need to:

  1. Sign up to Microsoft using this link
  2. Add $25 of credit to your account

Once done, you’ll have $150 of spend to use on your first Microsoft campaigns. And with AdSync by Adzooma, you’ll be able to synchronize your Google campaigns over for hands-free campaign management.

Turn on Adzooma Adsync today

Ready to double your advertising success?

Just click on the AdSync banner from your accounts page. Then, just follow the 4 step instructions to get your Adsync setup and running.

During this setup, you’ll select which campaigns you want to sync and any adjustments in your budget or bids. If you missed a campaign or want to link to more than one account, just follow the same process as many times as you need. There’s no limit.

Once done, just sit back and manage your campaigns as normal. We’ll copy all the changes over and ensure your Microsoft campaigns are running as smoothly as your Google ones.

And remember, if you’re new to Microsoft Advertising, you can get $125 of free advertising spend by signing up today.

You can choose from over 80 of our pre-made automation templates created by industry experts such as pausing non-converting keywords, setting your minimum click-through rate, or pausing poor-performing ads, to name a few. Or, create a rule from scratch with our intelligent controls and advanced features.

Clever Campaigns

Build and launch successful Google campaigns without the need to research keywords, write ads, or configure campaign settings. Using just basic business information, Adzooma creates impactful Google search campaigns dynamically by customizing keywords and ad copy to provide highly relevant and personalized campaigns and adverts that your audience will love – and in a fraction of the time it would usually take!

Advanced Optimizations

Maximize your paid ads performance with exclusive bid adjustment and landing page opportunities.

  1. Bid adjustments

Bid adjustment opportunities maximize your budget by increasing or decreasing your bids by a certain percentage depending on conditions such as your customer’s age range, gender or device.

For example, Calm Waters Spa is running campaigns for a day getaway package. Our system analyzes this campaign and finds that female customers click on the ads and book far more often than men. So, Adzooma might recommend a bid adjustment of 20% on female users. If your current bid for this campaign is £1.00, the bid adjustment would increase this price by 20%, changing the final bid for female customers to £1.20 instead.

Bid adjustments don’t affect your overall budget. Instead, they prioritize certain users over others, helping to get you more sales and clicks for your budget.

  1. Landing Page Opportunities

Getting people to click on your advert is only half of the battle. When they land on your landing page, they still need to take action whether it’s buying a product, booking a call or signing up for a newsletter. Our landing page opportunities are designed to help you increase such conversions by checking for factors such as:

  • Page speed: This opportunity fires when your landing page speed load time is low. Slow websites can kill sales, the longer it takes to load, the more customers you’ll lose.
  • Landing page 404: When your site is down, this opportunity will fire. Adzooma checks this frequently and checks the data out too. It tracks when the site was down and how long it was down
  • Improve Landing Page Mobile UX: While everything might be working well on desktop computers, your mobile customers might be getting a poor experience. This opportunity will fire in that case.

Level up your skills

With Adzooma Plus you’ll be able to improve your online marketing skills with complete access to the Adzooma Academy. We’ve handpicked and curated the best courses in the industry, giving you the information to master any area of digital marketing while offering practical, actionable advice that you can turn into success.

Adzooma Win Rising Star of the Year at Microsoft Partner Awards! https://adzooma.com/blog/adzooma-nominated-4-microsoft-advertising-partner-awards/ https://adzooma.com/blog/adzooma-nominated-4-microsoft-advertising-partner-awards/#respond Thu, 25 Feb 2021 17:20:00 +0000 https://www.adzooma.com/blog/?p=23259 After being nominated for four awards, including Account Team of the Year, Community Response Award and Trailblazer of the Year, it’s a privilege for us to take home one of the awards against an amazing array of businesses.

What we had to say

“I’m absolutely delighted. To win Rising Star of the Year at a ceremony run by such an esteemed company is really something. It was just great to be nominated but to win is such an honour.

“The team worked so hard throughout 2020 to create a platform that helped businesses of all sizes thrive throughout such a difficult year and this award win will only embolden us to continue on in that endeavour.”

Thomas Hampson, Trailblazer of the Year nominee

“It was amazing to be nominated for four awards across a spectrum of categories from a business like Microsoft, but to win one is incredible.

“The past year has been tough for all of us, but our customer’s openness in supplying us with feedback and collaborating on feature launches throughout the year helped us to navigate the last 12 months in the way that we did, and we’re entirely grateful.”

Robert Wass, CEO & Co-Founder

“Microsoft Advertising is such an integral part of the paid media landscape and our customers throughout the year have commented as much.

“Throughout 2020 we created a host of new Microsoft Advertising Opportunities, built a dedicated Microsoft Performance Report, and produced in-depth analysis on the efficacy of Microsoft Advertising.

“Everything we introduced across the year received great feedback and that’s in part down to Microsoft’s enthusiasm and openness in collaboration to create a better product for our customers.”

Dave Sharpe, CEO & Co-Founder

Why This Matters To You

Adzooma Unveils Brand New Dashboard https://adzooma.com/blog/adzooma-unveils-brand-new-dashboard/ https://adzooma.com/blog/adzooma-unveils-brand-new-dashboard/#respond Mon, 22 Feb 2021 08:58:00 +0000 https://www.adzooma.com/blog/?p=23584 Noticed something a bit different about your Adzooma dashboard?

In our latest update, we’ve decided to give your Adzooma dashboard a revamp to help prioritise your workload and make it even easier for you to jump straight into the action.

The two biggest changes to achieve this are the arrival of brand new PPC Performance Score and Automation widgets. Let’s have a look at why they’re so useful for your business.

Instant account optimisation and urgent issues insights

Adzooma’s PPC performance score rates your Google or Microsoft account out of 100. The closer to 100 you score, the more optimised your accounts are.

With a new Performance Score widget, you’ll be able to see your latest score for instant insights into your overall performance. But even better than that, we’ll also list under the score:

  • The issues that need your urgent attention, with actions you can take to resolve them.
  • How many account optimisation warnings you have which will need addressing soon.
  • How many key checks your account has passed.

From this widget, you can click to go straight to your PPC Performance Report for more detailed information and to implement these actions.
If you have more than one account, you’ll also see PPC Performance Scores on the accounts page, letting you know accounts you need to focus on from the very second you log in.

Monitor the status of your automations

Over the past year, we’ve put a lot of time and innovation into making one of the best automation features available for paid marketing. But don’t just take our word for it, see how Adzooma compares to other automation tools here.

In your new Last 7 Day Automation Summary widget, you’ll see:

  • The name of the most recent rules that have run in the last 7 days.
  • The date and time that they ran (if running every 30 minutes, only the last run of the rule will show here).
  • The status of the rule, showing a ✅ Successful status for rules that have fired, and an ❌ unsuccessful status for the rules that haven’t.

This is a great at-a-glance view of how your automation rules are running. For example, if you can see that a rule to adjust a budget of a high converting campaign by 10%  was successful, you know within seconds of logging into your account that that campaign is performing well and the budget has been increased to get you more conversions.

New to automated rules? Discover some of our most popular automation templates you might want to apply, or how to create your own automation rule here.

Quick Opportunities for Google and Microsoft

If you have a Google or Microsoft account, you’ll still be able to see your Opportunities widget, detailing:

  • How many Opportunities your account has
  • How much time applying these Opportunities will save you
  • The top 3 Opportunities you might be interested in

Like the other widgets, this one will also link to the right page for you to action these changes.

When you log into your account, your dashboard will give you top-level account performance data, quick summaries and links to your PPC Performance score, automation and available Opportunities.

It’s everything you need to take stock of your performance and prioritise your next actions.

Look out for new changes

We’re always innovating and updating the platform at Adzooma, and we’ve got some pretty special things lined up for 2021.

Make sure you don’t miss them by subscribing to our newsletter or follow us on Twitter

Automation Rules Every 30 Minutes https://adzooma.com/blog/automation-rules-every-30-minutes/ https://adzooma.com/blog/automation-rules-every-30-minutes/#respond Mon, 11 Jan 2021 07:28:00 +0000 https://www.adzooma.com/blog/?p=22683 Our automation feature is the most intelligent system available. Now, it’s the fastest free platform with the arrival of 30-minute automation rules.

You set a Google, Microsoft or Facebook automation rule. That rule will run every 30 minutes for ultimate control and efficiency of your advertising accounts.

How 30 minutes rules give pinpoint accuracy

Effective paid advertising targets your users at the right moment, grabbing their attention and getting them into your funnel. It’s about turning split-second decisions into advantages for your business. Every single click and second of your campaign counts.

If you’re a high-spend advertiser, checking your accounts every hour doesn’t make sense. A lot can change in an hour, and if an account is performing poorly then you’re wasting spend every single second it goes unchecked.

For example, let’s say you’ve got a high volume, low conversion rule running where any campaign that is getting a lot of clicks, but not converting is paused. That way, you’re not spending your budget on clicks that aren’t generating any income.

On a busy day, one campaign is generating an average of 500 clicks an hour at £2.50 each. That’s roughly £30,000 a day – or £1,250 per hour. If this campaign isn’t converting, that money is wasted. The longer it goes undiscovered, the more money you’ll lose.

That’s why our automation rules can run every 30 minutes. They’re designed to give you greater control and accuracy over your accounts, reducing wasted spend, improving performance and increasing your ROI.

Automation rules can run every 15 minutes inside Adzooma

The world’s fastest free automation platform

Running a rule every 30 minutes might sound uneventful, but it’s made Adzooma the world’s fastest free automation platform.

If you’re looking for this feature anywhere else, you’re fresh out of luck. Unless, of course, you’re willing to thousands a month for the privilege.

We offer it for free, for all your Google, Microsoft and Facebook accounts. Even Google Ads don’t offer you this functionality.

Setting your 30 minute rules

Ready to apply 30 minute rules?

Sign in to your Adzooma account and start creating the rule you want.

If you’ve never created an automation rule before, check out this step-by-step guide here.

Once you hit the frequency step, you just need to select ‘Every 30 minutes’ from the drop-down menu.

Then, select what days you want it to run. This means that you can have rules that check your account every 30 minutes on your busiest days, but leave them be on your slow days. It’s 100% customisable to your needs.

  • Zero campaign conversions, which notifies you when campaigns have clicks but no conversions.
  • Low quality score warning, which identifies any keywords with low-quality scores that are impacting your campaigns.
  • High CPM warning, which notifies you when cost per 1,000 impressions goes above your target.

Once you’ve found the one you want, click create rule to see it in more detail. Then, hit the ‘Customise Rule’ arrow at the bottom to specify where you want the rule to apply to, and select every 30 minutes from the frequency drop-down menu. Once you’re happy, click save.

Every Adzooma Product Update from 2020: A Year in Review https://adzooma.com/blog/adzooma-product-updates-2020/ https://adzooma.com/blog/adzooma-product-updates-2020/#respond Wed, 16 Dec 2020 10:32:48 +0000 https://www.adzooma.com/blog/?p=22279 The end of the year always gives us time to reflect on time gone by and that’s what we’ll be doing today, looking back at how the Adzooma product has changed and developed after the last 12 months.

Starting right back from our first update way back in February, we’ll trace our way through all 14 platform updates from Google Analytics integration right through to our huge Automation update.

So let’s get into it.

Adzooma Teams goes live, Feb 18th

To give you more control managing your team and your clients, we introduced the ability to provide your staff or co workers with access to your campaigns within Adzooma, all of who can be assigned different levels of access.

Grouped Opportunities arrive, Feb 20th

Thanks to your feedback, we updated our UI to group similar Opportunities together giving your Opportunities more context and saving you time.

You can see how they look in the gif below.

Get £20 when you refer a friend to Adzooma, Feb 24th

This is a great one which still exists today even though our product is free.

Every time you refer a friend to the Adzooma platform and they connect their account, you and your friend will both get a £20 gift card so as long as their Google, Microsoft or Facebook account has active spend in it.

10 months on, it’s still an amazing offer.

Adzooma Clients is here, Mar 12th

Bringing you more organisation than ever before, Adzooma Clients launched in February to provide you with an easier way to manage all your ad campaigns, allowing you to see all your client accounts’ performance from one screen.

This is great for freelancers and agencies alike.

Create campaigns inside Adzooma, Mar 25th

This was a biggie, and something you all really wanted.

In March we gave you the ability to create ad groups, ads and keywords for your Google, Microsoft and Facebook campaigns, meaning you’d never have to leave the Adzooma platform again.

Adzooma is Free! July 15th

Our goal at Adzooma has always been to make online advertising accessible to all, so back in July we made our full award-winning PPC platform completely free.

That’s powerful one-click improvements, hands-free automation, intelligent reporting and so much more for your Google, Facebook and Microsoft ads, all free of charge.

Google Analytics integration, August 17th

To give you a more comprehensive picture of what happens before and after the customer clicks, in August we integrated Google Analytics data into the platform to further aid you in evaluating the true effectiveness of your paid campaigns.

It gives you more data, more visibility and more opportunities to optimise your ads. Perfect.

Huge Automation update, September 7th

In September we saw a big one with our Automation feature receiving a makeover, introducing the ability to automatically pause underperforming ads/keywords, increase budgets on performing low-budget campaigns, and so much more.

Our new Automation simply allows you to continuously improve your accounts and create hands-free failsafe alerts across a whole spectrum of metrics to make sure your accounts are optimised even when you’re not there.

Event Automation rules, Oct 19

Off the back of our big Automation update, we introduced the ability to run rules and launch campaigns on specific dates, perfect for the PPC manager who likes to be organised and plan ahead.

Add and edit Negative Keywords, Nov 11

A PPC manager’s secret weapon is negative keywords and after receiving a ton of feedback, we introduced their capability into the platform last month allowing you to add, edit and view negatives, and start making your campaigns run even more efficiently.

Negative keywords are so crucial to PPC success. If you don’t believe me, have a read of our negative keyword guide.

New Adzooma support page, Nov 16

You no longer need to leave the Adzooma platform to find an answer to your question after we created a brand new support page to answer queries through our FAQs and make it easier to contact the Adzooma support team.

Cashback on all your ad spend, Nov 18

This was a huge one.

In partnership with Revolut, you are now able to get cashback on every £ you spend across every Google, Facebook and Microsoft ad account you have connected to the Adzooma platform. It’s as simple as that.

You can see how much you could save by using our cashback calculator here – https://www.adzooma.com/revolut-cashback-offer/

Better automation, Nov 23

At the end of November we made a further improvement to Adzooma Automation allowing you to send automation notifications to your teammates and change budgets by a %, to give you even more hands-free control over your campaigns.

Our Automation improvements will never stop.

Introduction of And/Or to Automation, Dec 14th

Finally, to end the year we enhanced Automation even further by introducing And/Or conditions to the platform. And conditions mean all of the conditions have to be met for a rule to fire. Or conditions allow you to create automation rules that will fire when just one of your conditions are met.

You can see how it all works in our step by step guide.

And to 2021

We’re not going to stop in 2021 either. We’re always working on our product, listening to you, our users, and digging into the data to find more ways to make Adzooma get the most from your PPC campaigns.

Have a happy new year!
